Get the tacos in at Taqueria!
My 2007 trip to Mejico (has it really been that long?!) can be summed up with a few words
1. MOLE! And no, not the animal.
and
2. Frijoles refritos!
Mole (pronounced, moh-lay) is actually a general name used in Mexican cooking for a variety of sauces.
Frijoles Refitos may look quite unappetising, however in actual fact it is not only nutritious but pretty tasty too.
Eaten consecutively for 3 weeks straight may make you slightly insane...
...but that's clearly only a small price to pay. Clearly.
Anyway. If there's anyone else in the house that wants to try out frijoles refritos, then head on down to Taqueria in Notting Hill and grab yourselves some tacos whilst you're at it!
---
I'd recommend:
Arroz a la Mexicana y plátano frito Mexican style rice with peas, carrots and fried plantain (v) £2.50
Frijoles refritos refried black beans, crumbly cheese, totopos (v) £2.00
They now do deliveries, so you can enjoy all of this Mexican goodness without lifting anything more than a finger to dial Taqueria's number!
Mind you, you'd be missing out on this beautiful side of London...
...but that's up to you!
Can't wait?
