July's Happiness Jar
It’s July.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate that the UK summer is well and truly here.
Always rooting for the underdog, us Brits, always believing in the best possible outcome with some underlying British cynicism...but lo and behold. The #hottestdayoftheyear has come and gone.
In realising more than 6 months of the year has already passed me by, I wanted to make more of an effort in documenting the little things.
Meeting 2015 ‘half-way’ was a scary thought.
But I want to look back and remember 2015 in a good way:
-As the year we listened to Heart showcasing their 100 Happy Days on the radio, how collectively we decided to all enter on Day 100 because we were CONVINCED at least one of us could win & enter the draw for 100,000.
-obviously the odds were slightly against us…!
But we did have fun fantasizing about how we’d split our winnings….
2015 – was the year – we managed to try out all the different cafes around the lab searching for the best variety of ice-creams!!
2015 – was the year my friends gave me the best presents I could have asked for and it didn’t cost them a thing.
So onwards.
I’ve re-committed to documenting the life’s little loves because hell, I love to reminisce.
So here goes:
I’ll start with
making a forensic anthropology cake
Trying out a free yoga class c/o of @IloveyogaLondon thanks to a friend's spontaneous suggestion!
Monday watermelon lemonade at Yalla Yalla
-Making smoothies for breakfast time – a welcome thirst quencher.
Got to play with this beauty -GoPro Hero 4
-Starting a few exciting little projects
-Catching up with friends who went to Glastonbury, hearing all about it and wishing it was this time last year!
-Watching both my parents perform at Bhavan.
Role-reversal but a proud daughter moment.
Catching up with old friends
& being reminded of this precious quote:
"No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth."
Which pretty much sums up the month for me.
Though there may be different levels of 'friendship' - each one requires nurturing, effort and love.
You may already know the level of intensity a friendship may offer but others may surprise you.
Leave judgement at the door for every relationship has the potential to become a deeper one.
Until the next time,
Namaste, from Ananya xo
