Chalo Chalo - Yalla Yalla!

What language are you speaking Ana?!

The Asian Destination :: Yalla Yalla

I'm glad you asked that one. The language of FOOD.

So In Bengali (& Hindi) 'Chalo Chalo' - means 'let's go, hurry up'

Funnily enough, Yalla Yalla, means the same in Arabic.

[Cheeky fact of the day. You're welcome.]

---

Even better though, that Yalla Yalla is actually a chain of Lebanese restaurants that offer up a great selection of tasty food to try also.

It gets surprisingly busy even on weekdays and you may not be able to book depending on how big your party is.

My friend had visited before. Always handy when you have someone on hand to stop you ordering everything on the menu...

We decided the best way to go was to order a selection of small dishes: chicken rakakat, halloum meshoue (v)  & the makale samak as well as 1 large dish: lahem shawarma.

This allowed the perfect variety of Beirut flavours with a healthy helping of reminiscing and celebrating the next exciting milestones in friends' lives.

Now, no celebration is complete without something sweet.

And old friends are used to sharing...

The Asian Destination :: Yalla Yalla

But fear not. No one's forcing you to share if you don't want to.

You can have the whole thing to yourself if you wish...

Sometimes you just want to wait in line for food but this place is definitely worth it. Fresh flavours and at a very affordable price it is no wonder Yalla Yalla is an award-winning eatery in London.

All that's left to say is:

Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating!
