Friday Fun :: Feelin' Hot Hot Hot at Tayyabs
There's something about a tender lamb curry that just melts in your mouth...
Tayyab's has grown in size and popularity since being founded in 1972.
On the recommendation of a friend, we excitedly ventured over to have a little curry night at the family owned and run business in Whitechapel.
Luckily for us we were prepared and had made a reservation, otherwise expect a wait if you head over there on a busy weekend.
We realised it was deceptively large as we were led upstairs; though it was no longer the original small cafe, the upstairs seating still allowed a relaxed atmosphere, intimate enough to catch up with friends whilst still offering the vibrant hustle and bustle of any popular Indian restaurant.

I was appointed: Chief Food Selector. Thanks KP. For the role & photo.
Though most Indian restaurants host most UK favourites. At Tayyabs,
I would definitely try the Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka
or the signature Lamb chops.
For main, maybe try a Biryani?
or something with more masala.
The Gosht was just how I love a lamb curry.
Tender and rich in flavour.
"Our karahi dish with lamb, garlic, masala, and green chillies adding a distinctive kick." - Tayyabs
Accompany your dishes with rice or buttery naan
And you'll have a great Indian feast waiting for you!
The restaurant has a Bring Your Own (Alcohol) policy so if you are that way inclined, feel free. This also helps the bill remain very affordable.
Next time you're after an Indian, head on over to Tayyabs!
Can't wait?
