Be the person you want to be while travelling - 3 tips for staying on track

Revisit your inner child

Mornings have been “my time”

ever since I was little.

Little Ana would love to wake up early to watch cartoons 😇…and then as I got older, I’d love to wake up early and read.

There is something about that early morning, untouched sky, peacefulness that sings to my soul.

No matter what season of life I’m in,

— struggling, healing, doing, being or thriving —

mornings are my time to stay quiet & savour.

Mornings have been looking a bit different this year: Bangladesh, U.K., Bali and even though travelling can sometimes be a bit unsettling for my brain…I need some structure to fully let go and flow…!)

It’s also been a good exercise for me to observe what parts I still need to help me feel like “me”.

Some essentials

☑️ Seeing the sunrise / morning natural light

☑️ Movement: either a quiet walk listening to nature / the sea / birds (or when in a busy city, a podcast or music) or The Class

Not always but sometimes:

☑️ journalling

☑️ visualising

& This season:

☑️ morning dance parties ✨

I’ve asked you what helps you feel more like you when you’re ill.

So this is your invitation to ask what helps you feel like “you” regardless of what season you're in?

When we travel, go on holiday or when life gets busy,

it's all too easy to let habits slip.

Let's plan ahead, the same way we would when packing for a trip.

Practical questions to ask yourself when packing

Be Honest

  • What habits do I let slip when life gets busy?

  • What areas do I compromise on when travelling?

Get clear

  • What will help me stay focused?

  • Is it packing a yoga / exercise mat so that there's no excuse not to work out or stretch while away?

Forward plan

  • What motivators can I pack with me?

  • Downloading the favourite workout / playlist so you have access to them OFFLINE so even if the internet is choppy, you've still got something to refer to

If you have any favourite tips you'd love to share, I'm all ears. I love hearing other people's hacks.

The more creative, the better!
